White Privilege, Racism, and more on "Portia Takes On The Black Belt and Beyond" with guest James Robinson

This is the 1st in a series of guest appearances by James Robinson on Portia Takes On The Blackbelt and Beyond was live on Facebook on June 16, 2020. 

In the episode, Portia and James engage in an open, casual, discussion about white privilege, racism, stereotypes, and a variety of other topics.  A second guest, George joined us later in the program and the focus of the discussion shifted somewhat and an interesting discussion of white supremacy and white privilege ensued.  I left the show with many things to think about and I hope you will as well.  It is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. 

This program did not focus as much on LGBTQ issues as we had planned because it took a different direction.  I will be a guest on another show to talk about LGBTQ Pride month and how national LGBTQ issues and advances in equality impact or do not impact the lives of LGBTQ people in the Blackbelt and other very rural parts of the Deep South.
